JOEL 2 Joel 2 reminds us that repentance isn’t God pushing us away—it’s God calling us back. When the Lord says, “Even now, return to me with all your heart” (Joel 2:12), it’s full of hope. Even now means right where you are, in the middle of real life, God is still inviting you to turn back to Him. He’s not asking for religious performances or dramatic displays, which is why He says, “Rend your heart and not your garments” (Joel 2:13). God is simply asking for honesty. He wants our hearts, not our acting. And the reason we can come back without fear is because He is gracious, compassionate, slow to anger, and full of love—always ready to receive us. David describes this same experience so personally in Psalm 32. He says, “Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven” (Psalm 32:1), and then he admits how heavy life felt when he tried to hide his sin. He talks about feeling worn down and exhausted until he finally brought everything into the open before God. The mom...
Understanding Eros Eros , the Greek term for passionate love, is beautifully reflected in human relationships. Yet, the Bible invites us to discover a deeper, divine dimension of love, embodied in God Himself. In our search for guidance, we often turn to the relationships of others for advice. While well-intentioned, this can sometimes lead us astray, moving us away from God’s word and His plan for perfect relationships. We must remember that the ultimate model of love is right before us in the Holy Trinity . It embodies the profound power of oneness, unwavering commitment, and deep understanding. The Trinity is not just a theological concept but a living example of perfect love, inviting us to align our relationships with divine wisdom. By embracing the teachings and love demonstrated within the Trinity, we open ourselves to building relationships that reflect God’s intended harmony and joy. Let us look to this divine example and transform our relationships into ones of true uni...
James 1:5 NKJV says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” God is the true source of wisdom. This verse begins by saying "if any of you lacks wisdom," meaning God knows there are moments when even His children do not understand what to do. Wisdom is not automatic. It must be asked for. God welcomes you to ask Him because He gives generously. He does not judge, condemn, or shame you for not knowing. He does not accuse you for lacking understanding. Instead, He gives freely, kindly, and without reproach. And the promise is sure, it will be given. God never lies. When you ask in faith, He releases divine wisdom to guide you in your decisions. When you want to make any major decision in your life pause and ask God for wisdom. Our minds are limited but God knows everything. He knows the future. He knows how things will turn out after you make that decision. What looks right to you ma...
