WHAT IT MEANS TO HATE EVIL

Psalm 97:10 (GNT) says, “The Lord loves those who hate evil; he protects the lives of his people; he rescues them from the power of the wicked.” This verse reveals an important truth about God and His people. God loves those who hate evil. To hate evil does not mean hating people. It means rejecting sin, refusing wickedness, and standing firmly for what is right. When a person chooses to hate evil, God promises protection and deliverance from the power of the wicked. There was a church in the Book of Revelation that was rebuked and given a strong warning by Jesus. Revelation 2:20   (GNT) says: “But this is what I have against you: you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a messenger of God. By her teaching she misleads my servants into practicing sexual immorality and eating food that has been offered to idols.” The problem of the church in Thyatira was that it did not hate evil. They tolerated evil and did nothing about it. Though they did not support it or practi...

The God Who Hears Prayer

“ O You who hear prayer, to You all flesh will come .” (Psalm 65:2, NKJV) There is a powerful truth in this verse: God hears. He is not distant, nor indifferent to the cry of humanity. He is the living God who bends His ear toward those who call on Him with sincerity. In a world full of noise and distractions, there is a voice that reaches straight to heaven: the voice of a heart that prays. The psalmist does not say that God hears only a few, but opens a universal door: “to You all flesh will come.” This reveals God’s desire to draw every person to Himself. No matter the past, no matter the condition—whoever comes to Him will find a God ready to listen. Prayer is not an empty ritual, but a real encounter with the One who has the power to transform every situation. When you pray, you are not speaking into the void. Every word—even those whispered in pain—is gathered by God. Even when it seems like the heavens are silent, He is still working. God’s silence is not absence; often, i...

The Eternal Refuge and the Everlasting Arms

“ The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms .” (Deuteronomy 33:27 , NKJV) There is a profound depth in this verse: it doesn’t speak only of protection, but of a complete, divine security that surrounds the soul on every side. God is not just an occasional help—He is eternal. This means His refuge never fails, never weakens, never runs out with time. When everything around you feels unstable, when circumstances shift and your strength fades, the Word reminds you that your refuge is not in what is visible, but in the One who never changes. The refuge is a person: God Himself. To enter this refuge means to dwell in His presence, to hide in Him, to trust completely in His faithfulness. And then it says: “underneath are the everlasting arms.” Not only does God surround you, but He sustains you. Even when you don’t realize it, even when you feel like you’re falling, underneath you are His arms. Not weak or weary arms, but everlasting ones—arms that never g...

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE A JEALOUS PERSON

James 3:16   (NCV) says, “Where jealousy and selfishness are, there will be confusion and every kind of evil.” This verse reveals the dangerous nature of jealousy. It does not stand alone. It works together with selfishness, and the result is confusion and all kinds of evil. This means where jealousy is present, peace disappears, order is broken, and harmful actions begin to grow. Jealousy is not something new. It is an old and destructive spirit that existed from the very beginning. In the book of Genesis, we see the story of Cain and Abel (Genesis 4:3–8). Cain became jealous of his younger brother Abel because God accepted Abel’s offering and not his. Instead of correcting himself, Cain allowed jealousy to grow in his heart. That jealousy led him to kill his own brother. This shows how powerful and dangerous jealousy can be. Imagine the destructive power of a jealous spirit. Once a person is controlled by jealousy, there is no limit to what they can do. Jealousy blinds the...

STILL THERE IS A GOOD FUTURE FOR YOU

Proverbs 23:18 (AMP) says, “Surely there is a future [and a reward], And your hope and expectation will not be cut off.” This verse is full of assurance and hope. It reminds us that no matter what we face today, God has already prepared a future for us. The word “surely” shows certainty. It is not a possibility—it is a promise. God is saying your future is secure, and your hope will not be destroyed. Many times, life can make us feel like there is no way forward. Challenges, delays, and disappointments can make us doubt what lies ahead. But God’s Word speaks differently. It tells us that there is still a future for you. Your present situation does not define your final destination. There is a good future for you, no matter what you are going through right now. You may be struggling financially, emotionally, or spiritually. You may feel tired and discouraged. But God sees everything. He knows your journey, your efforts, and your struggles. And He is working behind the scenes. ...

Signs from God vs Signs Sought by Men

The Bible makes a clear spiritual distinction between two kinds of “signs”: 1️⃣ Signs that God gives 2️⃣ Signs that people seek through superstition Understanding this difference is very important for the spiritual life. 1. Signs that come from God In Scripture, sometimes God Himself gives signs to confirm His word or His promises. For example: The sign given to Gideon with the fleece (Judges 6:36–40). The sign given to King Hezekiah when the shadow went backward on the sundial (2 Kings 20:9–11). The miracles and signs performed by Jesus Christ to show that He came from God. 📖 John 20:30–31 (NKJV) “And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.” ✔️ These signs have a purpose: to strengthen faith to confirm God’s Word to glorify God They do not come from human curiosity, but from God's initiative. 2. Signs sought by men When people seek ...

DIVINE WISDOM

Job 28:28 (NKJV) says, “And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.’” This verse reveals God’s definition of wisdom. Many people think wisdom is simply knowledge, intelligence, or education. But God shows that true wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord. The fear of God does not mean being terrified of Him. It means honoring Him, respecting His authority, and living in obedience to His commands. According to this verse, wisdom is not just something you know, it is something you live. Many people desire to become better individuals and to live honorable lives. We all want to do what is right and acceptable. People spend years studying, learning, and gaining knowledge to improve their behavior and character. They hope their lives will be respected and admired by others. Knowledge can help shape our thinking and guide our actions. That is why wisdom is very important. Wisdom helps you make good decisions. It helps y...
