Signs from God vs Signs Sought by Men

The Bible makes a clear spiritual distinction between two kinds of “signs”: 1️⃣ Signs that God gives 2️⃣ Signs that people seek through superstition Understanding this difference is very important for the spiritual life. 1. Signs that come from God In Scripture, sometimes God Himself gives signs to confirm His word or His promises. For example: The sign given to Gideon with the fleece (Judges 6:36–40). The sign given to King Hezekiah when the shadow went backward on the sundial (2 Kings 20:9–11). The miracles and signs performed by Jesus Christ to show that He came from God. 📖 John 20:30–31 (NKJV) “And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.” ✔️ These signs have a purpose: to strengthen faith to confirm God’s Word to glorify God They do not come from human curiosity, but from God's initiative. 2. Signs sought by men When people seek ...

DIVINE WISDOM

Job 28:28 (NKJV) says, “And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.’” This verse reveals God’s definition of wisdom. Many people think wisdom is simply knowledge, intelligence, or education. But God shows that true wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord. The fear of God does not mean being terrified of Him. It means honoring Him, respecting His authority, and living in obedience to His commands. According to this verse, wisdom is not just something you know, it is something you live. Many people desire to become better individuals and to live honorable lives. We all want to do what is right and acceptable. People spend years studying, learning, and gaining knowledge to improve their behavior and character. They hope their lives will be respected and admired by others. Knowledge can help shape our thinking and guide our actions. That is why wisdom is very important. Wisdom helps you make good decisions. It helps y...

LOVING ONE ANOTHER

“Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.” Phil ippians 2:3 Apostle Paul   gives a powerful instruction about the attitude that should govern the life of every believer. This verse addresses the inner motivation behind human actions and calls Christians to reject pride and selfish ambition. Paul teaches that the Christian life is not only about what we do, but also about the spirit in which we do it. The verse begins with a clear command: “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit.” S elfish ambition refers to actions driven by personal gain, rivalry, or the desire to elevate oneself above others. It is the mentality that seeks recognition, position, or praise. Conceit, on the other hand, is empty pride. It is the exaggerated belief that one is more important, more capable, or more deserving than others. Paul warns believers that nothing in the Christian life should be motivate...

Jesus, Known by Demons but Proclaimed by the Redeemed

“ And He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him .” — Mark 1:34 (NKJV) This verse brings us into the very heart of Jesus’ ministry: healing and deliverance. Christ did not come only to teach, but to manifest the power of the Kingdom of God, destroying the works of the devil. Wherever Jesus comes, sickness retreats and the powers of darkness lose their dominion. The evangelist says that Jesus “healed many” and “cast out many demons.” This shows that spiritual oppression was real, but even more real was the authority of the Son of God. The demons could not resist Him; a word from Him or simply His presence was enough for them to flee. But the deepest detail in this verse is this: “because they knew Him.” The evil spirits knew exactly who Jesus was. They recognized in Him the Holy One of God, the eternal Son, the One before whom every spiritual power must bow. In the spiritual realm the...

VICTORY IN CHRIST

“But in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” Romans 8:37 (NKJV) Without doubt, there are times when you pass through difficult seasons in life. In those moments, you often discover who truly loves and supports you. These are the times when enemies may rise openly against you, and some people may hope that their evil plans will destroy you completely. When you face challenges, some people find the opportunity to say what was already in their hearts. Those who secretly wished to see you fall or lose everything may begin to speak against you. David experienced this as well. In Psalms 41:5 (NKJV) he said: “My enemies speak evil of me: ‘When will he die, and his name perish?’” When you look back on your life, you may realize that it was only God who helped you. He carried you through because of His love for you. Sometimes His mercy was shown to you even when you were not perfect. Perhaps you did not even know God at the time, yet He still help...

HE IS GOD IN EVERY SITUATION

But You, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.   Psalm 3:3 Our God is a God who is able to help us in every situation. He is a God who knows our matters very well. But also our God is mighty and a warrior who does not want to see the enemy oppress us in any way. I am telling you these words because there are times you pass through challenges until you forget the power of God, because you see that God has not yet done anything for you. In this Psalm, David begins by saying: “Lord, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. Many are they who say of me, ‘There is no help for him in God.’ Psalm 3:1–2 What helped David was that he never forgot his God. Even during this time of suffering and trouble, he knew his God. That is why he said: “But You, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.” The main work of your enemies is to break your heart and remove your courage. But God is ...

RELATIONSHIP WITH RIGHT PEOPLE

Proverbs 14:7 (GNT) says, “Stay away from foolish people; they have nothing to teach you.” This verse is a clear and loving warning from God. God is not being harsh; He is being protective. He knows that the people you stay close to will shape your thinking, your choices, and your future. When God tells you to stay away from foolish people, it is because He wants to protect your life and your destiny. A fool is a person who acts without wisdom, judgment, or prudence. They make decisions without thinking about consequences. They often act recklessly, lack common sense, and are easily deceived. A fool may also behave in a silly, careless, or thoughtless way. Such a person does not learn from correction and does not value wisdom. Being close to them may feel fun, but it is dangerous. Today’s word is a warning. God says foolish people “have nothing to teach you.” This means there is no profit in learning from them. Stop for a moment and examine your friendships. Ask yourself...
