GOOD NEWS FOR ALL PEOPLE

"But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.’" — Luke 2:10 (NIV)

Over 2,000 years ago, God fulfilled His promises to humanity by sending Jesus Christ into the world. When the angels announced this news to the shepherds, they declared it as good news of great joy for all people. The birth of Jesus is the foundation of humanity’s salvation because:

1. Jesus was born to save people from sin.

As written in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." The birth of Jesus brings hope to those lost in sin.

2. Jesus came to heal wounds of the heart and body.

In our lives, we face challenges like sorrow, sickness, or pain. But as we remember the birth of Jesus, we find assurance that our healer is with us. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

3. Jesus is a helper for everyone, no matter their status.

He was born humbly in a manger, showing that He came for all—rich and poor, high and low. There’s no situation Jesus cannot understand or help with because He became human to save all humanity.

4. The birth of Jesus brings hope to the brokenhearted.

Jesus brought peace to a world overshadowed by the darkness of sin. For those in distress, Christmas reminds us that Jesus is the "Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6).

5. The birth of Jesus confirms God’s faithfulness.

It is a testament that God keeps His promises. For those waiting on answers to their prayers, the birth of Jesus assures us that God is trustworthy.

Prayer: Thank You, Lord Jesus, for coming into the world for me. Help me to reflect deeply on this joyful news. Amen.
