JESUS CHRIST IS THE MEDIATOR BETWEEN YOU AND GOD—NO ONE ELSE

"For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus."—1 Timothy 2:5 (NIV)

There are many teachings and perspectives that Christians have adopted, which contradict the truth about the ministry of reconciliation found in Christ. Today, I will address a few points to clear up confusion and misunderstandings about this vital ministry.

First, the Word of God says:
"All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation." —2 Corinthians 5:18-19 (NIV)

From these verses, it is clear that the origin of reconciliation is God Himself. It is God who desires to reconcile with you, which is why He sent Jesus to carry out this reconciliation. Jesus, in turn, has sent His servants and works through them to reconcile you to God.

It is wrong to think that God hates you or that He hated humanity because they sinned, and so Jesus had to step in to plead for mercy from an angry God who hates you. That is not the case! God loves you and desires to reconcile with you so that you can become His child, dwell in Him, and He in you. The scripture highlights something critical: "God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them." God does not Delight in judging or condemning you because of your sins.

Unfortunately, some teachings and messages focus on counting people's sins against them. Listening to such preachers, you may feel condemned, unworthy, and incapable of experiencing God’s grace and love. They present God as angry and vengeful. However, the true Gospel is one of reconciliation, revealing God’s love and mercy.

So why is 1 Timothy 2:5 important? I want you to understand this: there is only one mediator between you and God—Jesus Christ. No one should make you feel unworthy before God. If others judge you or count your sins against you, remember that Jesus is your mediator, and there is no other. If there are so-called God's ministers who contradict this truth, they are not doing God's work. Do not listen to them.

Prayer: Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your ministry of reconciliation. I now accept and believe in the reconciliation You accomplished on the cross, knowing You do not count my sins against me. Amen.
