YOU MUST OVERCOME THE TEMPTATIONS YOU FACE

 "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." James 1:12 (NIV)


Temptations are part of our daily lives, especially when we want to stand firm in our faith in God. We face temptations from our surroundings, from Satan, and even from our own desires.

God knows all these challenges and has given you the responsibility to overcome every temptation that comes your way. God is your protector, and he ensures that no temptation is beyond your ability to endure. As 1 Corinthians 10:13 says:

"No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."

One of the biggest issues with this generation today is the justification of sin. Many people fall into sin and then claim, “I couldn’t resist.” and because they couldn't resist it, they think they are not accountable. They think God must understand them and be okay with it. And their decisions and choices are based on feelings, not on God's Instructions. And they have "logical" excuses for failing to overcome temptations.

You must overcome the temptations you face for God to bless you. Some people's lives remain stagnant because they repeatedly fail the same test. For instance, someone may keep dreaming of being in primary school, sitting for exams, and failing. These dreams signify a temptation that you have failed to overcome. It may be that sin you are attempted to commit every time, and you fall for it. You won't grow to another level spiritually until you overcome it; that's why you are dreaming of school and being on the levels you passed a long time ago.

Make a decision today and pray for God's grace to overcome all temptations. Victory over these trials will lead to God's blessings now and the crown of life in heaven. Amen.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I pray for strength and power to overcome every temptation. I reject every spirit of failure in the name of Jesus. Amen.

DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS
