TRUSTING IN GOD IS THE BEST AND MOST BENEFICIAL DECISION

 "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." – Psalm 118:8 (NKJV)


Who do you turn to when life gets difficult? Many people place their trust in friends, family, or even their own strength, only to be disappointed. But the Bible reminds us that trusting in God is always the best choice.

The God who created you has given you the freedom to choose whom to depend on in life. Even after delivering the Israelites from slavery, performing great miracles, and making a covenant with them, He still allowed them to choose their path. He told them:

"I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live." – Deuteronomy 30:19 (NKJV)

Just as God urged the Israelites to choose life, He is guiding us today to make the best decision—to trust in Him completely. Our key verse says, "It is better to trust in the Lord." God is not forcing us, but He is lovingly advising us to make the right choice. My message for you today is this: Trusting in God is the best decision you can ever make.

What If You Have Made Bad Decisions? If you have already made poor choices, or if you are at a crossroads and don't know whom to trust, what should you do? That is why today's verse says: "It is better to trust in the Lord."

This means God knows that at times, we place our trust in people or things rather than Him. Maybe you've relied on someone’s promises, only to be met with disappointment and delay. But today, God is calling you to shift your trust back to Him.

Even as believers, there may be areas where we struggle to trust God completely. Sometimes, we place so much confidence in certain people that we forget to pray and seek God’s guidance. Our minds and hearts become convinced that our success depends on them.

But the truth is, nothing is impossible for God! So today, choose to surrender every part of your life to Him. Run to God—not just in difficult times, but in every decision. Start by Seeking Him in prayer before making decisions, Read and meditate on His Word to strengthen your faith. Let go of worry and surrender control to Him, trusting in His perfect timing.

Today, take a moment to reflect: Is there an area of your life where you have trusted people more than God? If so, surrender it to Him in prayer. Ask Him for guidance, and trust that He will handle your situation in His own way.

Prayer: Lord, today I come to You and surrender all the desires of my heart. Help me to trust in You fully. I place my hopes, decisions, and future in Your hands. Amen.

MISPLACED FEAR

Matthew 10:28  (NKJV) says: “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”   This is a direct call from Jesus to correct our fears. Many people fear human threats, sickness, poverty, storms, or death. Yet Jesus reminds us that these things can only touch the body. The true danger is sin, because it separates us from God and leads to eternal destruction.
