THERE IS NO OTHER OFFERING REQUIRED FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS


 


“For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.” (Hebrews 10:14, KJV) 


Through His death on the cross, Jesus Christ completed the work of redeeming humanity. He did not leave any requirement for another sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins. His life was the ultimate and sufficient sacrifice for the salvation of all. Through His blood, your sins are forgiven once and for all. The Bible clearly states in Hebrews 10:18, “Now where there is remission of these, there  is no longer an offering for sin.” This means that no other sacrifice is needed for the forgiveness of your sins than the Blood of Jesus. 


However, today, some teachings claim that you must offer a specific offering for curses to be broken or for your sins to be forgiven. This is not true. While giving offerings is important for your blessings and prosperity, you must understand that you cannot pay God money for forgiveness. 1 Peter 1:18-19 KJV says, “knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” 


Some people believe they are accepted by God because they give large offerings, yet they continue to live ungodly lives. Cornelius was a God-fearing man, and That's why his offerings came up as a memorial before God (Acts 10:4). However, it was not his offerings that brought him salvation; he still needed to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ to receive the forgiveness of his sins. 1 Corinthians 13:3 AMP says, “If I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it does me no good at all.” 


So, my friend, if you give offerings but do not live righteously and in holiness, your offerings will not benefit you. Repent and live a life that pleases God. Do not be deceived into thinking you can buy forgiveness with money. Put your faith solely in the blood of Jesus Christ, and through His work on the cross, you will receive forgiveness and eternal life. 


Prayer: Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your perfect sacrifice on the cross. Help me to live a holy life and to trust in You alone for my salvation. Amen.
