GOD KNOWS WHAT YOU'RE GOING THROUGH 2 (Learn from the trials you're facing)
"Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
Often, when someone is going through challenges in life, what they really want to hear is how to get out of that situation. And every time they pray to God, they ask Him to deliver them from that suffering. But you need to understand that there are certain trials you must go through. Some of these trials are actually set by God as a school to teach you something.
Even in my own experience, some people come to me and say, "Man of God, please pray for this situation to end in my life or for me to come out of this problem." But for some of them, I respond by saying, "You will still go through this trial because God wants you to learn something."
Deuteronomy 8:2-3 says:
"And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord."
So when God allows you to go through difficult times, He has a reason. What you need to do is pray and ask Him to teach you and show you the reason you're going through what you're facing now. Because once you’ve learned the lesson, that’s when the trial ends.
Today’s message is meant to encourage you who are facing a tough time and to strengthen your faith. God says He is with you to strengthen you so you can come through safely. He also says do not be dismayed. So, don’t complain and say, “God, don’t You see?” or “God, are You really there? Why won’t You get me out of this trouble?”
What God wants from you is to learn humility and patience. That’s why He has allowed this trial.
So God has not abandoned you. In His time, He will lift you up and answer your prayers. And the shame, distress, and poverty you're experiencing today will become history. He will bless you and wipe away all your tears.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I ask You to strengthen me by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Grant me patience and Your wisdom that will carry me safely through this trial. Amen.
