TREASURES FROM THE DARK
"I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel." — Isaiah 45:3 (NKJV)
In Isaiah 45:3, God made a powerful promise. He said He would give treasures from dark places—things that are hidden and valuable. These treasures are not just gold or money, but blessings, wisdom, and divine help. God gives these treasures so we may know that He is the Lord, the one who calls us by name.
Since sin entered the world, people have lived in darkness. This darkness includes pain, fear, confusion, and spiritual emptiness. But even in the middle of this darkness, God has given us great blessings. Life itself is a treasure. His love, His presence, and the purpose He has for our lives are all treasures too.
However, the devil doesn’t want us to find or enjoy these blessings. He tries to hide them from us by filling our lives with fear, doubt, and sin. He doesn’t want us to succeed. He doesn’t want us to live in peace, joy, or freedom. The enemy's goal is to stop you from becoming what God created you to be.
But God is saying, “I will give you treasures.” He wants to open your eyes, bless your life, and give you success—so you will know that He is your God.
When God blesses you—when He brings you out of trouble, opens new doors, and answers your prayers—don’t forget Him. In Deuteronomy 8:10–11, the Bible says, “When you have eaten and are full… beware that you do not forget the LORD your God.”
Always remember that every blessing comes from Him. Stay thankful. Stay humble. And keep walking with Him every day.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for every treasure You’ve given me, even in hard times. Open my eyes to see Your blessings. Help me never to forget You, but to love and follow You always. Amen.
