DIVINE SUPPLY IN HARD TIMES
“They did not thirst when He led them through the deserts; He caused the waters to flow from the rock for them; He also split the rock, and the waters gushed out.” — Isaiah 48:21 (NKJV)
When God becomes the leader of your life, whether in your business, career, or personal journey, you must be fully confident—He will never forsake you. God’s leadership comes with divine responsibility. He doesn’t just point the way; He walks with you. However, to reach the place of promise, you must pass through the desert.
A desert represents more than a physical location—it symbolizes a difficult season of life. It's a place of dryness and thirst, where nothing seems to work or grow. It is a season of lack, a time of hunger, of uncertainty, and sometimes danger. In real deserts, there are snakes and scorpions. In life’s desert, you face betrayal, fear, rejection, and even spiritual attacks.
Yet, in this harsh place, you must remember: God is with you.
The Israelites passed through the desert for 40 years. It was long, but it was temporary. The desert was never meant to be their home—it was just part of the journey. Don’t let the enemy convince you that your desert season is your destination. No! It is not your end. The Israelites kept moving, and so should you.
The key phrase in Isaiah 48:21 is “He led them.” When God is leading you, your desert experience changes. God provided them with water from a rock and food from heaven. They didn’t die in the desert because divine supply was with them.
If God is your leader know that you are different. Others may faint, fall, or give up—but when God is leading you, He will give you supernatural strength. So today, don’t complain. Don’t give up. Don’t murmur. Ask God. He will supply all your needs. He has the power to turn the driest desert into a flowing stream.
David said, “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1 NKJV). Even in the valley, even in the desert, you will not lack. And when you arrive at your promised land, God won’t just supply what you need—He will give you abundantly.
