HIS FAITHFULNESS TO PROTECT YOU

"Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name." — Psalms 91:14 (NKJV)

This powerful verse from Psalms 91 gives us a glimpse into the heart of God. It reveals a divine promise: when we love God, trust in His name, and rely on His presence, He will protect us. His faithfulness is not based on our strength but on our relationship with Him.

God’s faithfulness is seen all through Scripture. He protected Noah from the flood, Daniel from the lions, and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fire. In each case, the key was trust. These people knew God’s name and had confidence in His character. They didn’t just believe in a higher power—they trusted in the covenant-keeping God who never fails.

Psalm 91, often referred to as the “Soldier’s Psalm,” has comforted millions in times of danger. Verse 14 is a personal statement from God Himself. He promises deliverance, elevation, and protection. Why? Because the one being protected knows His name. To know God’s name is to understand His nature—He is Jehovah Jireh (Provider), Jehovah Shalom (Peace), Jehovah Nissi (Banner), and Jehovah Sabaoth (Lord of Hosts). When we trust in the name of the Lord, we put our lives under His covering.

His protection is not partial—it is complete. He doesn’t promise we won’t face battles, but He promises we won’t be alone in them. Many times, God protects us from things we never even knew were coming. His angels are assigned to watch over us (Psalm 91:11), and His Spirit gives us wisdom and discernment.

In today’s world full of uncertainty, it is reassuring to remember that God is still faithful. His promises are still true. If you have put your trust in Him, you can rest knowing He watches over you. Even when things seem hard, and fear tries to creep in, you can remind yourself: “He will protect me because I call on His name and I trust Him.”

No matter where you are in life, know this—God’s faithfulness never fails. You can depend on Him.
