LOVE IN OUR FAMILIES IS MORE PRECIOUS THAN WEALTHY

 Proverbs 15:17 says, “Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a fatted calf with hatred.” 


This scripture is not a call to poverty or a rejection of wealth. God is not saying we should not enjoy good things. In fact, it is good and acceptable to eat well, live in a beautiful house, drive a nice car, and wear good clothes. However, this verse reminds us of something deeper and more valuable—love and peace, especially within our families.

You can have everything money can buy, but if your home is full of strife, bitterness, and hatred, then all that wealth is empty. On the other hand, a family living in a simple home, eating basic meals, but full of love and unity, is far richer in the eyes of God. Peace and love in the family bring true joy and fulfillment that riches alone cannot provide.

God’s purpose for our lives is not just prosperity, but a life filled with love, peace, and meaningful relationships. Jesus asked, “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” (Mark 8:36, NKJV). Before we chase riches, we must first seek love and peace—starting in our homes. A peaceful home is a foundation for a successful life.

If God has blessed you with wealth, use it as a tool to show love. Be generous, support those in need, and invest in your family’s well-being. Your riches should help you express more love, not less.

However, God is also wise and just. If He knows that wealth will turn your heart away from love and make you proud, greedy, or unkind, He may withhold it until you are ready. God gives according to our capacity to remain loving and humble after success.

Let us make love the center of our homes. Let us teach our children that while money is useful, love is eternal. When love is present in the family, every blessing becomes sweeter and every challenge becomes bearable.

Prayer: Lord, fill our homes with love, peace, and unity. Help us to value people more than things and live to glorify You.

THE WISEST THING TO DO IN YOUR LIFE

And those who have taught many people to do what is right will shine like the stars forever.” This verse speaks about the reward God will give His faithful people on the last day. MISPLACED FEAR

Matthew 10:28  (NKJV) says: “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”   This is a direct call from Jesus to correct our fears. Many people fear human threats, sickness, poverty, storms, or death. Yet Jesus reminds us that these things can only touch the body. The true danger is sin, because it separates us from God and leads to eternal destruction.
