THE PROCESS MATTERS
Proverbs 21:6 (GNT) — "The riches you get by dishonesty soon disappear, but not before they lead you into the jaws of death."
Many people in today’s world chase after money, success, and fame with no care about how they get it. To them, what matters is the outcome — to become rich, powerful, or successful. But in the eyes of God, the process is more important than the outcome. Why? Because God cares more about your soul than your success.
Jesus said, "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?" (Mark 8:36). This means your soul is more valuable than all the riches in the world. So, if your success costs you your soul, then it is not true success.
Proverbs 21:6 warns us: "The riches you get by dishonesty soon disappear, but not before they lead you into the jaws of death." If you become rich through lying, cheating, or stealing, that wealth will not last, and it can bring you sorrow. In our workplaces today, many lie to get promoted. Some steal from the office, while business people cheat customers. The Bible calls this kind of wealth a trap — it looks good for a while, but it leads to destruction.
The process of getting wealth must be righteous. It should be honest, clean, and full of integrity. If your way is right before God, then the riches you get will last and bring peace and joy. God is more pleased when you go through His process — even if it is slow and painful — because its end is good and full of peace.
People may laugh at you, mock your small beginnings, or even call you foolish for not using shortcuts. But do not worry. Trust God's way. In the end, you will enjoy a blessing that adds no sorrow.
Prayer: Lord, help me follow your way and trust your process for true, lasting success.
