SEEK GOD SO YOU MAY LIVE
Amos 5:14 (NKJV) says, “Seek good and not evil, That you may live; So the Lord God of hosts will be with you, As you have spoken.”
This verse teaches us that many people say “God is with me,” but their actions are far from God. They claim to know God, but their lives are full of evil. Today, the world is full of people who speak about God with their lips, but their hearts are far from Him.
Look at many celebrities and social media influencers. Some of them sing songs that promote sin—encouraging people to fornicate, drink, disobey parents, or live in rebellion. They dress and dance naked in videos, change partners like clothes, and live without fear of God. But when you read their bios or hear their interviews, they say “I believe in God” or post Bible verses. This is confusion. Their words say they know God, but their actions deny Him.
Sadly, many young people now follow this same path. They live in sin and claim that God is still with them. But God is not mocked. His Word is clear: “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God” (Psalm 9:17 NKJV).
If you want to live—truly live—you must stop pursuing evil. You must seek what is good, what is right, what is pure. Doing evil destroys your life. When you chase after sinful things, you open yourself to pain, trouble, and even death. Why? Because God is not there to protect you.
If you truly want God to be with you as you claim, you must leave evil and pursue good. This is the only way to walk with God and to enjoy His protection, peace, and blessings.
