YOU ARE NOT THERE YET

Philippians 3:12 (NIV) says: “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.”

Apostle Paul, despite his deep revelation of Christ and many accomplishments, admits that he had not yet arrived. He was still pressing on, still reaching for a higher walk with God. This scripture teaches us that spiritual growth is a journey, not a one-time event.

One of the reasons many people die spiritually is because, after receiving what they asked from God, whether healing, financial breakthrough, or answered prayers, they start to believe they have reached the top. Some, after experiencing miracles or the infilling of the Holy Spirit, slow down in prayer, Bible study, and seeking God’s presence. Ministers of the Gospel and passionate believers may become satisfied with yesterday’s experiences and stop growing.

Ask yourself these questions: Are you praying as you used to pray? Do you still hunger for God as before? Do you study His Word daily? Do you still attend church services, conferences, and spiritual meetings? Or have you lost your zeal? The moment you stop praying and studying the Word of God, your spirit begins to starve and wither. God’s Word is spiritual food; prayers connects you to God your source of life. Without these, spiritual death is inevitable.

It doesn’t matter how much anointing you carry, how many Bible verses you know, or how much God has already blessed you—you still need Him daily. You are not there yet. Only when we reach heaven will we have completed the race. Until then, we must keep pressing forward like Apostle Paul, staying prayerful, hungry for God, and living a holy life.

Prayer: Lord, help me press on, never settling, but growing deeper in You daily.
