DO NOT BE AFRAID GOD IS WITH YOU

Joshua 1:9 (NKJV): “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

This verse is a direct command from God. It was given to Joshua at a time when he was stepping into one of the greatest assignments of his life—leading the children of Israel into the Promised Land. Moses had died, and the responsibility of guiding an entire nation into their inheritance was now on Joshua’s shoulders. God is not giving you suggestions, he is commanding you not to fear so that he can be with you.

I have already taught you that many people fear because they don’t know the power of God. Others fear because they don’t know the will of God. They are not sure if God is with them in what they do, they are living in doubt, they are doing things in doubt. Your weakness and personal mistakes can make you feel God is not with you in what you do thats why you are afraid. But today, we learn from this verse that God commanded us not to fear. The same command He gave Joshua is the same command He gives you today.

Joshua faced a huge task, conquering nations stronger than Israel and leading God’s people into their inheritance. Maybe you also have a task ahead of you. Perhaps you are the one God has chosen to take your family out of poverty, or to bring transformation in your church. Maybe you have started a business or project, but your competitors are stronger and have more resources. Just like Joshua, your situation looks impossible.

But here is the message: God is commanding you not to fear. He is with you. But the condition for His presence is faith. God cannot work where there is fear because fear is the absence of faith, and without faith, His power cannot operate in your life.

But I want you to know God loves you. He does not abandon you if you are afraid of the challenges ahead. Instead, He motivates you, saying: “Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for I, the Lord your God, am with you wherever you go.”

So make a decision today: Do not fear. Trust Him, and He will strengthen and empower your spirit to succeed.

Prayer: Lord, give me courage and faith to trust You fully, for You are always with me.
