HOPE AS A DRIVING FORCE

Romans 8:24–25 says: “For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope... But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.”

Hope is not based on what is visible. If we already see the result, then there is no reason to hope. Hope works in the unseen—it pushes us to trust God for what has not yet appeared. It is tied to perseverance, meaning we must endure with patience while waiting for God’s promises.

Hope is the anchor of the believer, sustaining us when life looks uncertain. It is a gift of salvation, drawing us to trust that God will fulfill what He has promised. It is a force that gives you strength to move on. When you hope, you hope for what you do not see.

So in your life, if you don’t see anything happening yet, it is hope that will carry you through that moment. Hope is your strength to move forward when you don’t see your future clearly, when you don’t know how you will get a job or how you will come out of the situation you are in right now.Our hope is fixed on Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Faith itself is the assurance of things hoped for (Hebrews 11:1). Without hope, there is no faith, and without faith, it is impossible to please God. That means hope is not just optional—it is necessary for the Christian journey.

Today, fix your hope on Jesus. He will never let you down. He will not fail you. Let hope be your driving force. Allow it to guide you through seasons of darkness, pain, despair, and uncertainty. Hope will carry you when nothing else seems to work. And this hope is not empty—it is anchored in Christ, who is faithful to fulfill every promise.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, be my hope and
strength in every season of waiting and pain.
