RENEWAL THROUGH GRACE

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.” II Corinthians 4:16 NKJV

This week we are learning about the strength to move forward. Moving forward is needed in your life, career, ministry, and faith. But how do you do it when you feel weak and tired? The answer is God’s grace.

Paul speaks about the daily renewal of the inner life through God’s grace. The “outward man” refers to the physical body that grows weaker with age, hardship, and suffering. But the “inward man” represents the soul and spirit that, by the power of God’s grace, grows stronger each day. Paul had many trials in his ministry, but he did not lose hope because he knew the secret of strength: the daily renewal given by God.

Grace is the unmerited, undeserved, and unearned favor of God. It is His kindness, forgiveness, salvation, and strength freely given. Grace means God gives us what we do not deserve. That is why Paul could say he did not lose heart, because even though his body suffered, God’s grace renewed his spirit daily.

The same is true for you. Maybe you are facing struggles, disappointments, or failures. You feel pressed down, but do not lose heart. When you rely on God, He renews your inner strength and helps you move forward. Grace shifts your focus away from your circumstances and onto God’s promises.

To be renewed, you must spend time with God—pray, study the Word, and worship Him. This is how grace charges your spirit. God is the source of life, and staying connected to Him gives you strength to continue.

I pray that God will renew your inner strength as you pray, learn His Word, and worship Him.

Prayer: Lord, renew my strength daily by Your grace, and help me move forward faithfully.
