"STRENGTH TO MOVE FORWARD: (DETERMINATION)"
Proverbs 24:16 NIV says; For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.
Determination is the strong will and firm decision to keep going until you reach a goal, no matter the challenges, delays, or difficulties along the way.
It is the inner strength that makes a person stay focused, disciplined, and committed even when things get tough. Determination helps you push through obstacles, resist distractions, and not give up easily.
In simple words: determination means refusing to quit until what you set out to do is accomplished.
📖 Key Examples of Determination in the Bible
Jesus Christ – He was determined to fulfill His mission of salvation. Even when facing the cross, He prayed, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” (Luke 22:42 NKJV). His determination was grounded in obedience to God.
Paul the Apostle – Despite persecutions, imprisonment, and hardships, Paul said: “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:14 NKJV). His determination was focused on finishing his spiritual race.
Nehemiah – When rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, Nehemiah faced ridicule, threats, and opposition, but he declared: “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down.” (Nehemiah 6:3 NKJV). He stayed determined to finish God’s assignment.
Many people give up on their vision and dreams because they lack determination. Today, make a decision, be determined to achieve the goal you have set in your life. Don't let challenges make you quit. You can rise again no matter how many times you have fallen. Because God is ready to help you if you are determined.
