THERE IS NO FEAR IN LOVE
1 John 4:18 (NKJV) says: "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love."
Fear and love cannot live together. Fear torments, but love brings freedom. Fear looks at punishment, but love looks at forgiveness. The perfect love of God drives away every fear that makes you feel guilty, unworthy, or condemned.
Many people are filled with fear because they think the enemy has power over them. They believe God hates them because of their weakness or wrongs. This fear comes from guilt and condemnation. You may feel that you deserve punishment, so bad things will happen to you. Sometimes you even think God enjoys seeing you suffer for your mistakes.
Maybe you feel like you are in enmity with God, like you are nobody before Him. You think you don’t deserve His protection and help. You feel like an outcast. You fear the devil has rights over you because of your sins, curses, and imperfections. You even judge yourself because you missed Sunday service, failed to pray, wronged someone, or carry guilt from a curse someone spoke over you.
But here is the truth: the love of God can make all these fears disappear. When you know God loves you, you can rest in His presence. His love is not about your self-righteousness—it is about Jesus. The grace of God is not about what you do but about what Jesus did for you. God loves you so much that He gave His Son for you. If He gave Jesus, how much more will He freely give you His protection, peace, and blessing?
You don’t deserve the bad things the devil threatens you with. God does not want you to suffer. He wants you free, loved, and bold. Today, allow His love to set your heart free from all fear.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, fill my heart with Your love and drive away every fear from my life.
