YOU MUST BE TEACHABLE AND CORRECTABLE

Proverbs 12:1 (NKJV) Says; “Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.”

The Bible makes it clear that loving instruction and correction is a mark of wisdom. If you want knowledge, you must accept guidance and be willing to be corrected. To hate correction is to remain foolish and unwise. Why? Because no one is perfect, and no one knows everything. Growth comes when you are willing to listen, learn, and adjust your ways. A person who rejects correction blocks the path of wisdom and locks the doors of progress.

Learning and correction are parts of the process of growing into perfection. You don’t know everything, and that means you will make mistakes. But mistakes don’t make you a bad person, they make you human. The word “human being” itself shows we are in the process of becoming. We are not yet complete or perfect.

If you want to excel, grow, and become better than who you are now, you must be teachable and willing to accept correction. Many people fail in life not because they are weak, but because they think they know everything. That mentality destroys destinies. Pride closes doors while humility opens them.

Some of you were good and teachable, but because of small achievements, you now act like Major Generals of everything. You no longer allow anyone to correct you, you don't take any advice. Even if you are the boss, remember—you don’t know everything. Learning never ends. Every day is a classroom, and life is the teacher.

Here is a secret many people ask: How do I know a correct man or woman to marry? The answer is simple, choose someone teachable and correctable. A spouse who refuses correction will make life difficult. But a humble and teachable partner brings peace, growth, and success to the family.

So, how do you become teachable and correctable? The answer is one word: "Humility". Pray for a humble heart. A humble heart accepts correction, learns daily, and grows into greatness.

Prayer: Lord, give me a humble heart that is teachable, correctable, and ready to grow.
