HOW CAN SOMEONE ENTER INTO SATANIC COVENANTS?
1 John 5:21 (NKJV) says, “Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.”
This verse is a warning from God to protect ourselves from idols, false gods, and anything that takes God’s place in our hearts. Idols are not only images made of stone or wood; they can be anything or anyone that we put above God. When a person gives their heart, loyalty, or worship to idols, they open a spiritual door to evil powers. That is how satanic covenants begin, when people leave the true God and join themselves to the powers of darkness through acts of disobedience and unholy alliances.
In Numbers 25:1–3 (NKJV) we read, “Now Israel remained in Acacia Grove, and the people began to commit harlotry with the women of Moab. [2] They invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods. [3] So Israel was joined to Baal of Peor, and the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel.”
In these verses, we see that Israel entered into a satanic covenant with Baal of Peor. They were joined to this false god through three main acts:
1. Fornication: They committed sexual immorality with Moabite women who worshiped Baal. That sexual act became a spiritual covenant not only with those women but also with their gods. Sexual sin often transfers unclean spirits and creates spiritual bondage.
2. Participation in Ritual Ceremonies: They attended sacrifices made to other gods. Today, this can happen when people attend parties or events that have hidden demonic agendas. If you eat, dance, or celebrate in places dedicated to idols, you spiritually connect yourself to those powers.
3. Worshipping Idols: The Israelites bowed down to the Moabite gods. When someone worships idols or trusts in other spiritual sources apart from God, they enter into a satanic agreement unknowingly.
These three acts, Fornication, Participating in ritual ceremonies, and Idol worship are still the main ways people enter into satanic covenants today. Another way is Through Inheritance, when ancestors made covenants with idols and dedicated their generations to serve them. But this covenant is broken when you accept Jesus. But the Devil will try to reclaim you; he doesn't give up easily. You have to know how to fight him.
If you have questions, confessions, or need help identifying or breaking these covenants, reach out for prayer and guidance.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, separate me from every satanic covenant, cleanse me with Your blood, and set me totally free.
