UNDERSTANDING DEMONIC COVENANTS AND HOW TO BREAK THEM

 Exodus 23:32 (NKJV) says: “You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.”


Biblically, a covenant is a sacred agreement made between two parties. Holy covenants connect us with God and bring life, blessings, and protection. But demonic covenants connect people with the kingdom of darkness. They are made knowingly or unknowingly through sin, blood sacrifices, oaths, or involvement in occult practices.

The First Commandment clearly says: “You shall have no other gods before Me” (Exodus 20:3 NKJV). God alone deserves worship, obedience, and loyalty. To worship or honor other gods is to rebel against the Lord and open doors to demonic control.

The danger of demonic covenants is that they trap people into serving the devil, who comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. Such covenants destroy destinies, bring sickness, fear, confusion, and curses. Worst of all, the soul of the person bound in such covenants faces eternal condemnation if not delivered by Christ.

God further warned in Exodus 23:33 (NKJV): “They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against Me. For if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.” This means that association, friendship, or relationships with people who serve other gods can pull you into sin. They can seduce your heart and lead you to worship their gods, bringing destruction.

However, there is hope in Christ Jesus. He came to set us free from every bondage and curse. “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” (John 8:36 NKJV). Through prayer, repentance, and faith in Jesus, every demonic covenant can be broken. You can be totally delivered and restored by His blood.

WISDOM TO MAKE RIGHT DECISIONS

  James 1:5 NKJV says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”   God is the true source of wisdom.
