VALUE WHAT YOU HAVE
Revelation 3:11 NIV Says: "I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown."
Jesus gave this message to warn believers to stay strong, faithful, and careful. The “crown” represents reward, honor, and position given by God. To hold on means to guard, protect, and value what God has given you until He comes. It means being faithful in your gifts, your calling, your work, and your opportunities. When you value what you have, you show God that you can be trusted with more.
The way you treat the small things God gave you now determines how far you will go in life. This principle applies in every area of your life, spiritually, economically, and socially. Many people are waiting for big blessings, but they ignore the small things already in their hands. What you call “small” is the seed for your future harvest. When you respect, protect, and improve what you have, you open doors for greater blessings.
Valuing what God has entrusted to you is a discipline that grows over time. You must train yourself to appreciate and honor small beginnings. Jesus gave a parable in Matthew 25:14–30 about a rich man who gave money to his servants. Two of them valued the small amount and worked hard; they were rewarded with more. But the one who despised his small share lost even what he had. God’s system of increase always begins with faithfulness in little things.
Don’t be seduced by anything or anyone to despise or abandon what you have. Value your work, your family, your ministry, or your business. Work on it with love and excellence. It is like a staircase God uses to lift you higher. What you have today is the seed for what you will have tomorrow. If you honor it, God will multiply it.
Prayer: Lord, teach me to value what You have given me and bless the work of my hands. Amen.
