GOD OF NEW BEGINNING

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV) says “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.”

Our God is not limited by our past. He is the God of new beginnings. Through Prophet Isaiah, God tells His people to stop looking back at their old failures, disappointments, and painful memories. The word “Do not remember” means to release the past and stop letting it control your present or your future. When we dwell on what went wrong, we block the door to what God wants to do next.

God promises to “do a new thing.” The word “new” here means something fresh, something that has never happened before. It means new opportunities, new favor, and new strength. God says, “Now it shall spring forth.” This shows that His plan is already in motion. Even when we don’t see it yet, God is working behind the scenes to bring something beautiful out of brokenness.

He also says, “I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” A wilderness represents confusion, dryness, and struggle, but God can make a way even there. The desert represents lack and emptiness, but He can bring rivers which are symbols of life, joy, and refreshing into those dry places.

When you decide to have a fresh start, remember that God is the God of new beginnings. No matter what you have lost or how far you have fallen, He can give you another chance. Your mistakes do not define you God’s mercy does. If you are willing to let go of your past, trust His word, and take a step of faith, He will open new doors for you.

Don’t fear starting over. Every ending is a doorway to a new beginning with God. He can restore your hope, renew your strength, and make a new story out of your life.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for being the God of new beginnings; help me to trust You for a fresh start.
