NO ONE CAN REPLACE JESUS

1 Corinthians 3:11 GNT says, “For God has already placed Jesus Christ as the one and only foundation, and no other foundation can be laid.”

This means Jesus is the unshakable ground upon which our faith and life must stand. Everything in the Christian life must rest on Him, not on any man, system, or religion. When you build your life on Jesus, you build on eternal truth, not on temporary human strength. He is the solid rock that can never fail, the cornerstone of all true spiritual growth.

No one can replace Jesus in your life. Not your mentor, not your father or mother, not even your spiritual leader. What mentors do is to help you grow, teach you, and guide you to know Christ more. They are not your foundation, they are builders who work upon the foundation that is already laid, which is Jesus Christ.

If Christ is your foundation, you will not be shaken or moved. Many people fall and get destroyed because they depend on people, and people change, fail, and even perish. When your hope is in man, disappointment becomes your portion, but when Christ is your anchor, stability becomes your portion.

Many have lost their faith because their mentors or spiritual leaders failed them. When their leaders fell from the truth, they also fell with them because they were built on men instead of Christ. True leaders and mentors do not build people on themselves or on church doctrines; they build them on Jesus, the only strong foundation.

Ask yourself these questions: Is my mentor building me on Christ or on himself? Am I depending on Christ or people? Who is my source of encouragement and hope? Who am I truly depending on? Christ or a person? Make a wise decision today to find someone who will help you be established in Christ and strengthen your personal relationship with Him. Do not relate to Jesus through another person. Know Him personally.

A true mentor helps you grow to stand strong in faith even when he is not around. Christ is enough for you. He is your all in all. You have no other foundation but Him.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me build my life only on You, the strong foundation that never fails or changes. Amen.
