SHAPE YOUR DESTINY BY ASSOCIATING WITH WISE PEOPLE



Proverbs 13:20 NKJV Says “He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.”


Our Spiritual life, growth, success, and destiny are influenced by the people we walk with. If you walk with wise people, their wisdom will rub off on you, and you will grow to be wise. But if you walk with fools, their ways will lead you into destruction. Wisdom is contagious, and so is foolishness. The people you associate with can either lift you up or pull you down. Your destiny is shaped by your associations.


There is no benefit in being friends with people who have no manners. Good morals produce good character and discipline, and good discipline qualifies you for greatness. Some people try to convince others that discipline doesn’t pay, but they are wrong. Even if the reward takes time, your blessings will surely find you if you stay disciplined and faithful.


The people you associate with shape your character and discipline. If you want to grow and learn, surround yourself with people who are doing what you want to do in life—people full of wisdom who can help you mature. You need wise mentors, people who have succeeded and gained experience in life, who can teach you and pour wisdom into your life.


Don’t be carried away by the company of friends who only think about pleasure and not purpose. Avoid people who only know how to spend money without vision. Surround yourself with people who inspire you to work hard, discover new opportunities, and become better every day.


Stay close to people who can correct you when you are wrong, not those who cheer you up to do bad things. When Saul went into the company of prophets, he also began to prophesy (1 Samuel 10:10). The same Spirit that was upon the prophets came upon him. That means the spirit of those around you can influence you too.


Ask yourself—what kind of spirit is in your friends? Is it godly or worldly? If it is not godly, walk away. Choose wisdom, holiness, and good morals. God will bless you, and your life will impact others positively.


Prayer: Lord, help me to walk with wise people, live in discipline, and fulfill my destiny through wisdom.

MISPLACED FEAR

Matthew 10:28  (NKJV) says: “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”   This is a direct call from Jesus to correct our fears. Many people fear human threats, sickness, poverty, storms, or death. Yet Jesus reminds us that these things can only touch the body. The true danger is sin, because it separates us from God and leads to eternal destruction.
