THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE

John 8:32 AMPC says, “And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.”

These words came directly from Jesus Christ. He was teaching the people that real freedom comes from knowing the truth of God. Truth is not just information. Truth is Jesus Himself. Truth is the Word of God. Truth is the light that exposes lies, destroys bondage, and breaks every chain. Many people pray, fast, give, and attend church, but still remain oppressed because they have not discovered the truth God wants them to know. Jesus did not say prayer will set you free, or fasting will set you free. He said the Truth will set you free.

Have you ever asked yourself why the enemy still oppresses you? Have you wondered why some spirits and behaviors you hate still fight you? Why do family patterns and cycles still affect your life? Have you ever asked yourself if this is normal? What does God say about your situation? What does He say about you not finding a job? What does He say about your suffering in relationships? What does He say about the evil dreams that trouble you every night? The Bible is clear. When you know the truth, the truth will set you free. This means your freedom is connected to what you know and believe.

It does not matter who preached to you. It does not matter how many sermons you have heard. And how beautiful they sound. It does not matter how many prayers you have prayed or how many seeds and offerings you have given. If you are still having the same problem, it means what you believed was not the truth. The words of Jesus are simple and powerful. “And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.”  If you are not free, what you believed was not the truth. If you are still oppressed, you must search for the truth instead of doing the same thing that gives no results.

In the book of Hosea it says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). It does not say people perish for lack of prayer or giving. It is a lack of knowledge, a lack of truth. The devil is not afraid of your prayers. He is afraid of the truth you know. Jesus prayed and fasted for 40 days, yet Satan still came to tempt Him. Satan was not afraid of His prayers. He wanted to overcome Jesus and put Him under his subjection and oppression. But Jesus defeated him through truth. It was the knowledge of the Word of God that made Jesus victorious.

The same applies to you today. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you the truth that will break every bondage. I minister to people daily and 99 percent of their problems come from not knowing the truth. People think they know, but what they know is not the truth. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. God bless you.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, reveal Your truth to me and set me free from every bondage today in Your name. Amen.
