IT IS GOD WHO ESTABLISHES YOU

 Psalm 37:23 AMP says, “The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord, And He delights in his way [and blesses his path].”

Many people put a lot of effort into establishing themselves in different areas of life. They spend too much energy, time, and sometimes money to build their brands and their names. Maybe you have heard some people talking about themselves, their businesses, brands, or ministries.

They will tell you how much they suffered and the cost and toil they went through to reach where they are. They will not allow anyone to play with or try to destroy their names because, for them, it was very hard to get what they have now.

This has even caused some gospel ministers to charge people money for their services. Their talents and spiritual gifts have become a business to them. All they can say is that it cost them a lot to build their names and establish their brands, so anyone who wants them to minister or perform must pay a huge sum of money. This is totally wrong.

The Word says, “The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord.” This means that if you are a righteous person, everything you do in life is under God’s control. It is He who directs you on what to do. It is He who establishes you. It is God who makes you relevant. It is He who causes you to be accepted by people. It is He who opens spiritual doors for your business so that you may have many customers.

This does not mean that you will sit back and do nothing. No. You will work with Him, and when you work with God, you do not toil or suffer because He is in control. You will face challenges, but they will not destroy you. It will not be your effort or energy that gives you victory; it will be God.

In Joshua 3:7 and Joshua 4:14, we see that it was God who exalted Joshua and made him a great leader in the eyes of Israel, just as He was with Moses, so that they would know God’s presence and power. When ministers of the gospel say they built their own names and ministries, they are lying, especially some music ministers who now speak of their brands. Their ministries have become brands. These are worldly and secular ideas, not biblical ones. They have copied what they do not understand.

With God, we do things differently. It is God who establishes us and gives us a name in whatever field we are working in. The verse continues to say “And He delights in his way [and blesses his path].” God delights in righteous paths, not secular and worldly paths. If you follow His path, He will bless you. Even if you fall, He will lift you up again, as stated in the next verse, Psalm 37:24. Nobody can erase you or create a false scandal that will ruin your career, ministry, or business, because God will always be with you to help you and bless you.

Prayer: Lord, help me delight in You always, and establish my life according to Your perfect will.
