YOUR HOPE WILL NOT BE CUT OFF
Proverbs 23:18 AMP says, “Surely there is a future [and a reward], And your hope and expectation will not be cut off.”
This is a strong promise from God. He is telling us that life is not empty and our journey is not useless. God clearly says there is a future prepared for you and there is a reward waiting for you. Your hope is not a weak wish. It is a confident expectation placed in God. Even when today looks confusing or painful, God says the end is secure and your hope will stand.
Many of us believe that God has good plans for us. The Bible says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV. God is not planning your failure. He is planning your growth, peace, and fulfillment. His plans are full of life and purpose. When God speaks about your future, He speaks with knowledge and power.
However, many people had plans and expectations before, but they did not happen. Sometimes God gives a promise, yet a person does not receive it. This can happen because something goes wrong between the promise and its fulfillment. The Israelites are a clear example. God promised them the Promised Land when He brought them out of Egypt. Yet many of them never entered it. They were destroyed in the wilderness because of unbelief, disobedience, and rebellion. Even Moses did not enter the land. Only their children reached the promise.
Today God is speaking to you again through Proverbs 23:18. He says there is a future and a reward for you. He also says your hope and expectation will not be cut off. God knows that the enemy tries to confuse people and destroy their expectations. Your business may fail. You may lose your job. You may feel delayed or disappointed.
But God says your hope will not be cut off. This means He is stepping into your life on purpose. He is protecting you from final disappointment and failure. He is giving you assurance that whoever or whatever rises against your good expectations, He will fight it.
God is walking with you and holding your hand. He is leading you to your reward and your blessing. This time you will not fail like before. This time God is with you. Stay close to Him. Do not allow sin or worldly things to pull you away. Your hope and plans are secure only when you walk with God.
Prayer: Lord, hold my hand and protect my hope as You lead me to my future.
