A FAITH THAT TOUCHED HEAVEN WITHOUT WORDS* ” 📖 *Mark 5:28–34 (NKJV)

 The woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for twelve years does not speak to Jesus.

She does not cry out.
She does not beg.
She does not interrupt Him.
Her faith is silent, inward, determined, yet intensely alive.
“For she said, ‘If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.’” (v.28)
She does not say, “If Jesus speaks to me.”
She does not say, “If Jesus looks at me.”
She does not say, “If He lays hands on me.”
She says: “If only I may touch…”
This is a deep level of faith—
a faith that does not depend on public attention,
on words,
or on ritual.
 It depends entirely on who Jesus IS.
According to the Law, she was unclean, excluded, and isolated.
Anyone she touched would become unclean.
Yet she believes something revolutionary:
Jesus would not be contaminated by her condition—her condition would be healed by His holiness.
The hem of His garment was not a random detail.
It represented covenant, authority, and the Word of God.
She was not merely seeking a miracle—
she was touching the promise.
And the moment she touched Him—without words, without noise—
“Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up” (v.29)
Healing came before Jesus spoke to her.
Power flowed before public recognition.
Because true faith activates divine power.
But Jesus stopped.
Not because He did not know who touched Him,
but because healing the body is not enough without restoring the heart.
Trembling, the woman came forward and told Him the whole truth.
And then Jesus spoke words even deeper than the miracle:
“Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.” (v.34)
Jesus calls her “Daughter.”
A woman rejected by society is publicly restored as a child of God.
He does not say, “My power healed you,”
but: “Your faith has made you well.”
 A faith that did not speak,
 a faith that did not ask,
 a faith that simply touched.
Then Jesus adds: “Be of good cheer.”
As if saying:
 Do not live in fear anymore.
 Do not hide anymore.
 Your faith has been seen, honored, and confirmed.
Spiritual Application
There are moments when we have no strength to speak, explain, or plead.
But we can still touch Jesus by faith.
Even by reaching for His promise.
Even in silence.
 Heaven responds to silent faith.
 God’s power flows without words.
 And Jesus still says today: “Daughter, Son… be of good cheer.”
