Choose love over judgment
The message today is clear and very brief. God reminds us that our righteousness is not attained through our actions but by faith in Jesus Christ.
If our righteousness is obtained by faith and not by deeds, why do we judge each other? Why do we point fingers? Why do we gossip? The mouths of Christians have become very quick to judge others when they make mistakes.
Let's not judge others, especially when they make mistakes. Remember that the weaknesses you judge in others, you also have, and often yours are worse than those you judge. The word of God says, "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Matthew 7:1-2."
Secondly, let's not consider ourselves righteous and better than others. The word of God says, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23" and God continues to admonish us, "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8."
If we are all sinners and are counted righteous by faith in Christ, then we should treat each other with love and help one another. Even when you have a reason to judge another, remember that you also deserve judgment, so let's live in love.
There's a saying, "We are judging each other for sinning differently," meaning you judge your neighbor because they sin or have weaknesses different from yours. Apostle Paul said, "Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. 1 Timothy 1:15."
The important thing is that we should learn to be silent, not quick to speak when we see someone err. What you should do is pray for mercy and for God to forgive them, knowing that you too can err, and perhaps worse than them if not by His grace. Those who are quick to judge and speak about others are the ones committing the greatest sins because their act of judging others takes them out of the grace of Christ.
PRAYER: O Lord, I ask for your mercy and forgiveness for considering myself righteous and better than others. Forgive me for using my mouth to speak against and to judge others. Teach me to be humble and to pray for those who err and have weaknesses, especially my fellow Christians. Amen.
Amen, I learn something from this. Thank you
