A Renewed mind is beneficial

"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things." Colossians 3:2

After God created all creatures, He created man and placed him on earth to rule over them. A human being was created uniquely. Genesis 2:7 says "Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being." That breath of life from God is what made us different from all other creatures it is the evidence of our divine nature. that we do not have an earthly nature; we are created in the image of God and carry His nature.

Therefore, when the word of God says, "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things," it is because one of the greatest effects of sin was to corrupt the understanding of man. Sin greatly affects your thinking, making you focus only on the things you see here on Earth.

When Jesus Christ saved us, we were restored to a position of dominion, and the divine nature was restored within us through the Holy Spirit, whom we receive when we believe in Jesus. The word of God says, "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God." Colossians 3:1

God wants your way of thinking to change. You are a child of God, sanctified by the blood of Jesus, and you have the power and authority to rule here on earth. Now, you need to constantly meditate on divine matters to live a godly life here on earth.

When you are told to think about things above, it does not mean that you will only think about heavenly matters and ignore earthly matters. No. It means you should have a godly perspective and thoughts to know God's will in everything you do here on earth. When you meditate on things above, you will know God's will in your business, work, and family. And you will have the courage to reject what is not God's will and to do what is right.

When you meditate on things above, your thinking changes; you gain divine wisdom and understanding, and this knowledge helps you know that you are a child of God. Then, it changes your conduct and behavior, making you discard bad conduct and live a holy life.

When you meditate on God, He inspires you with His wisdom and knowledge to perform your tasks with divine skills. Proverbs 9:10 says, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." So, the more you meditate on God, the more you gain knowledge to succeed in your endeavors here on earth.

Prayer: Oh, LORD, I pray that You change my thinking and perspective. I ask the Holy Spirit to inspire me with divine wisdom and understanding so that I may live a beneficial and pleasing life to You. Amen.
