REMEMBER WHO HELPS YOU
"Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face continually. Remember His wonders which He has done." – Psalm 105:4-5 (NKJV)
Have you ever felt like your problems are too big to handle? When difficulties arise, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But what if the problem isn’t the size of your troubles, but where you’re focusing? Psalm 105:4-5 reminds us to turn our eyes to the Lord and His strength, rather than being consumed by our struggles.
Your difficulties may seem enormous today, but that’s what happens when you focus on something—it appears to intensify and grow larger. The enemy wants to keep your attention fixed on your struggles, making them seem insurmountable. But the key to victory is shifting your focus to the greatness of God.
When you magnify the Lord, your troubles shrink in comparison. This is why the psalmist urges us to seek God’s strength and remember His wonders. Instead of dwelling on your difficulties, remind yourself of who God is and what He has done.
The Bible reveals God’s greatness through His names, which describe His nature and how He works in our lives:
● Yahweh – The Existing One and the Great I AM (Exodus 3:14). He is self-sufficient, eternal, and unchanging.
● Elohim – The Almighty Creator who is infinite in power and always faithful to keep His promises (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 7:9).
● El Shaddai – The All-Powerful God, the Most High over all, who never loses a battle (Genesis 17:1, Psalm 91:1).
● Yahweh Yireh – Your Perfect Provider, who sees your needs before you even ask and faithfully supplies (Genesis 22:14, Philippians 4:19).
● Yahweh Rapha – The One who heals you, both physically and emotionally (Exodus 15:26, Psalm 147:3).
When you truly grasp the greatness of God, fear and worry fade. The same God who parted the Red Sea, healed the sick, raised the dead, and provided manna in the wilderness is the same God who walks with you today. Is there anything too difficult for Him?
Jesus Himself reassures us: "For with God nothing will be impossible." – Luke 1:37 (NKJV) No matter what you face, remember who helps you—the One who is faithful, mighty, and victorious.
Prayer: Oh Lord, You are GOD! Thank You for being greater than all my troubles and always helping me. Help me to keep my focus on You and trust in Your mighty power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
