Chapter 9 of the Gospel of John recounts the healing of a man born blind by Jesus. This miracle becomes the center of a confrontation between Jesus, the healed man, and the Pharisees. After being healed, the man embarks on a journey of faith: at first, he acknowledges Jesus as a prophet (v. 17), but gradually, he comes to understand His divine identity.
