WISDOM TO MAKE RIGHT DECISIONS

James 1:5 NKJV says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

God is the true source of wisdom. This verse begins by saying "if any of you lacks wisdom," meaning God knows there are moments when even His children do not understand what to do. Wisdom is not automatic. It must be asked for. God welcomes you to ask Him because He gives generously. He does not judge, condemn, or shame you for not knowing. He does not accuse you for lacking understanding. Instead, He gives freely, kindly, and without reproach. And the promise is sure, it will be given. God never lies. When you ask in faith, He releases divine wisdom to guide you in your decisions.

When you want to make any major decision in your life pause and ask God for wisdom. Our minds are limited but God knows everything. He knows the future. He knows how things will turn out after you make that decision. What looks right to you may not end well, but God sees the end from the beginning. Asking for wisdom protects you from regret, confusion, and costly mistakes.

It is possible to lack wisdom even if you are a child of God. That is why this verse says ask. God would not tell us to ask for something we already have. So do not be overconfident. Humility is the key that opens the door to divine wisdom. When you humble yourself and admit that you need help, God gives you wisdom to guide your choices and decisions.

This word assures you that God will give you wisdom because He gives to all. Do not disqualify yourself. Do not judge yourself. Some people have been cursed, discouraged, or spoken to with words of failure. Maybe you were told by people you trust you cannot make good decisions or that you are a fool. Maybe you were told that you do not listen or that you will always fail. But God’s word is stronger than every negative voice. God says He will give wisdom to all, and that includes you.

Today I want to tell you something. If you lack wisdom and you don't know the right thing to do, go to God first. Ask Him for wisdom before you go to any man or woman. Make Him your first resort, not your last. And He will give you wisdom.

Prayer: Lord, give me Your wisdom today and guide every decision I make according to Your will.
