HUMILITY, THE RIGHT WAY TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS

"Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time." 1 Peter 5:6

Life is full of challenges, many of which we can avoid if we take careful precautions. For example, you can avoid debt if you decide to live within your means. In Proverbs 22:7, we learn that “The borrower is a slave to the lender.” Therefore, by avoiding debt, you will have financial freedom that will enable you to plan and invest for your future.

The principle of humility is what enables you to be faithful in your work and manage the money and property entrusted to you. Luke 16:10-12 shows us that God elevates and blesses a faithful person. If you want expensive things and you make unnecessary expenditures that cost you more than what you earn, you will be tempted to steal and lie to get more money. Humility is accepting what you can afford and what you can't.

Today, I am telling you that everything has its time; there are things in your life whose time has not yet come. May God grant you the wisdom to continue being humble before Him. Your time to own an expensive phone or car or to live in a luxurious house will come. The Word of God says:

"To everything there is a season,

And a time for, every purpose under heaven." Ecclesiastes 3:1

When you refuse to be humble, the spirit of greed, competition, and pride will possess you, and the Word of God says; "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." Proverbs 16:18

The end of arrogance and pride is a destructive fall and shame, but humility will bring you honour and success.

But there is a way to avoid this destruction: we must humble ourselves before God. James 4:10 teaches us, "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up." Humility here means living by depending on God for everything. It is acknowledging His greatness, His wisdom, and His authority over our lives, and then following everything He has said.

Prayer: Jesus, I humble myself before You. You are the King of Kings. You are sovereign, above all, and worthy of my worship. Amen.
