YOU ARE NOT THERE YET

Philippians 3:12  (NIV) says: “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” Apostle Paul, despite his deep revelation of Christ and many accomplishments, admits that he had not yet arrived. He was still pressing on, still reaching for a higher walk with God. This scripture teaches us that spiritual growth is a journey, not a one-time event. One of the reasons many people die spiritually is because, after receiving what they asked from God, whether healing, financial breakthrough, or answered prayers, they start to believe they have reached the top. Some, after experiencing miracles or the infilling of the Holy Spirit, slow down in prayer, Bible study, and seeking God’s presence. Ministers of the Gospel and passionate believers may become satisfied with yesterday’s experiences and stop growing. Ask yourself these questions: Are you praying as you used to pray? Do you...

OVERCOMING SPIRITUAL DEATH 2: Win the Battle with your Flesh

Galatians 5:16 (NKJV) states: “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”  This verse gives us the key to overcoming spiritual death—walking in the Spirit. It reminds us that our victory over sin and the desires of the flesh is not found in human strength but through a Spirit-led life. The Bible is clear in Romans 8:13: “For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.” The death spoken of here is first spiritual death, separation from God, which eventually leads to physical death. This death is a direct result of yielding to the flesh instead of living in the Spirit. Living by the flesh means obeying the desires of the body without considering God’s wisdom. It means sinking into worldly pleasures, pursuing temporary satisfaction while ignoring eternal consequences. If you don’t know what it means to live after the flesh, Galatians 5:19–21 lists the works of t...

OVERCOMING SPIRITUAL DEATH: Cultivating Spiritual Desires

Psalms 42:2 NKJV says; My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?   Spiritual death is not physical; it is the separation of man from God due to sin. When sin dominates a person’s life, their sensitivity to God’s voice, presence, and guidance becomes dull. Yet, through Christ, we are offered the gift of life—eternal, abundant, and spiritual.  Spiritual death occurs when desires of the flesh replace the desire for God. It begins subtly—prayer becomes a burden, the Word of God feels dry, and worldly pursuits take priority. The enemy thrives in this state, keeping a person away from their true identity and inheritance in Christ. However, God calls us to rise above this state and embrace spiritual life by cultivating holy desires.  To overcome spiritual death, we must first acknowledge our need for God. David prayed in Psalm 51:10 NKJV, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” Renewal star...

HIS PLAN FOR YOU WILL BE FULFILLED NO MATTER WHAT

Psalms 33:11 (NKJV) Says:  “The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations.” God’s plan is eternal and unshakable. People may make decisions, and situations may look confusing, but God’s purpose never changes. His plan is not limited to one person, one season, or one time—it stretches across generations. Whatever He has planned for your life will come to pass, no matter how dark your present situation may seem. Sometimes life feels heavy and uncertain. You look at your future, and it seems like nothing is working. All signs may point to calamity, failure, or destruction. You may feel lost, but remember this: God’s plan stands forever. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.” This connects directly with today’s verse—His plan does not fade away. Look at Joseph’s life. He was sold as a slave by his own brothers. What future could a...

YOU MUST HONOR THE VOWS YOU MADE TO GOD

Ecclesiastes 5:4 (NIV) — "When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow."   A vow is a promise, commitment, or pledge we make before the Almighty. In biblical times, vows were not casual words — they were sacred commitments. To make a vow and fail to fulfill it is seen by God as foolishness. This is because God values integrity, faithfulness, and honesty. If we cannot keep our word to Him, it reflects a heart that does not truly fear or honor Him.  When you promise God something — whether in prayer, during a crisis, or out of gratitude — He expects you to keep it. It could be a promise to serve Him faithfully, to give an offering, to change your ways, or to dedicate your time and gifts to His work.  Many times, we make promises to God in moments of desperation. We say things like, “Lord, if You heal me, I will serve You all my life,” or “God, if You bless me with this job, I will give You my first fruits.” ...

HOW TO MAINTAIN PEACE AND UNITY IN OUR FAMILIES

1 Thessalonians 5:15 (NIV) — “Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.” God is pleased when His children live in peace and love. He is a God of peace and love, and He wants His people to reflect His nature. Wherever there is peace and love, the presence of God is strong, and blessings flow. God's word teaches us how to gain and keep peace in our families. It reminds us that paying back wrong for wrong only brings more trouble. Choosing to do good to each other creates unity. We must understand — there is no perfect family. Every family has disagreements, misunderstandings, and challenges. Your relatives, children, parents, husband, or wife will not always be perfect. What matters is what you do after conflict. Your reaction can either bring healing or create more division. Peace is not automatic. It is a choice. Today, according to God’s Word, I encourage you to choose peace. Where there...

GRACE TO FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED

Colossians 4:17 GNT – And tell Archippus, “Be sure to finish the task you were given in the Lord's service.” One of the biggest challenges in life is finishing what we started. Many people give up along the way when challenges come. They say, “What I have done is enough,” even though they have not reached their goal. God has given each of us a purpose and a destiny. It is important to fulfill it completely. You must fight through the challenges, from the beginning to the end. Do not give up on the way. Ask God for grace to take you through. Today, I am talking to a specific person—you had a burden to do something for the Kingdom of God. You started well, but challenges came and you stopped. Some stopped because people discouraged them—maybe the very ones they were helping, or church leaders who disappointed them. You expected them to be different, but they were not. So, you decided to stop what God placed in your heart. Today, God is saying to you: You must finish it. ...

HOPE, THE POWER TO WIN THE WAR WITHIN

Psalm 43:5 (NKJV) — “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.” In Psalm 43, the writer shows us what was happening inside of him. He was sad, heartbroken, and confused because of the oppression of his enemies (verse 2). There was a war going on inside him — a battle between what he believed about God and what he was feeling in his life. He knew God was good, but his life felt like God was far away. So, instead of listening to his pain, he began to speak to his own soul. He said, “Hope in God.” His soul was down because his heart was full of pain. And the Bible says that with the heart one believes (Romans 10:10). This means faith lives in the heart — and if your heart is broken, your faith can’t work well. That’s why the psalmist didn’t say “believe in God” — he said, “Hope in God.” When faith is low and your heart is crushed, hope is the power that keeps you standing...

GOD IS SEARCHING FOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU

John 4:23 (NKJV): “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” God is seeking true worshippers. That means He doesn't have them all yet. When someone searches for something, it's because they don't possess it already. So don’t assume God is referring only to those who attend church every Sunday, live a perfect life, or speak in tongues. No — He is searching for you, even if you don’t see yourself as holy, churchy, or worthy. Take the Samaritan woman in John 4 as an example. She was considered unclean, sinful, and unworthy — yet Jesus approached her, a woman living in fornication. Why? Because He saw a true worshipper in her. She didn’t match the religious image people expected, but God’s eyes saw beyond her past. Worship means to honor or show reverence for a divine being or supernatural power. It also means  to regard with great or extravagant respect, hono...
