COMPLAINING BLOCKS GOD’S BLESSINGS IN YOUR LIFE

"Be hospitable to one another without complaint." (1 Peter 4:9, AMP)   God’s Word teaches us to be generous and hospitable without complaining. He desires that we support one another during life’s challenges. However, it is crucial to understand that any help we offer should be given willingly and with love—not out of obligation or reluctance. When complaints accompany our giving, the blessings that God has prepared for us can be hindered. Many people complain when helping others because they expect something in return. When you help someone, do not expect them to repay your kindness in any way. Do not expect them to show you love or generosity simply because you were good to them. While there are wise individuals who appreciate and return kindness whenever possible, your assistance should never come with conditions. It should be an act of love from your heart. God is the one who sees your actions and rewards you accordingly. Some people also complain because they feel they...

THERE IS NO OTHER OFFERING REQUIRED FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS

“For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.” (Hebrews 10:14, KJV)   Through His death on the cross, Jesus Christ completed the work of redeeming humanity. He did not leave any requirement for another sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins. His life was the ultimate and sufficient sacrifice for the salvation of all. Through His blood, your sins are forgiven once and for all. The Bible clearly states in Hebrews 10:18, “Now where there is remission of these, there  is no longer an offering for sin.” This means that no other sacrifice is needed for the forgiveness of your sins than the Blood of Jesus.  However, today, some teachings claim that you must offer a specific offering for curses to be broken or for your sins to be forgiven. This is not true. While giving offerings is important for your blessings and prosperity, you must understand that you cannot pay God money for forgiveness. 1 Peter 1:18-19 KJV says, “knowing that you were...

GOD IS YOUR STRENGTH

“ My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (Psalm 73:26, NKJV) This verse teaches that even though your body may grow weak due to hardships, trials, or even sickness, God remains your true source of strength. Your heart may grow weary and discouraged, but God is the rock of your heart—He does not change, grow tired, or fade away under any circumstances. If you rely on Him, you will find the strength to stand firm, even in the most difficult situations. You are a child of God, and your life should be led by faith, not by feelings or physical conditions. The Bible says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”  (2 Corinthians 5:7, NKJV). There is a constant battle between the flesh and the spirit, for they are in opposition to each other (Galatians 5:17 ). Your flesh may tempt you to follow its desires, but do not give in. If you stumble and fall into sin, do not let it keep you away from God. Rise up! Tell your soul, “Press on ...

THE GOD OF JUSTICE

You are praised by people everywhere, and your fame extends over all the earth. You rule with justice. Psalm 48:10 GNT   This verse teaches about the character of God, who is just. Just as His name is exalted, so is His praise known everywhere. There is no place on earth where His power is not recognized. Even in hell, they acknowledge that God is supreme, and His power has no limits. The righteousness of God spreads throughout the world, and no one can hinder His hand of justice and judgment. God knows everything that happens in the world. His eyes clearly see every human action, whether good or evil. Nothing can be hidden from Him, and no secret can escape His sight. He weighs all people according to His righteous standards and rewards each one according to their deeds. If you have done good, God will not forget. If you have been oppressed and mistreated, He has not ignored your cry. If you feel as though no one cares about your suffering, remember that the God of justice ...

THE BENEFITS OF BEING A GOOD LISTENER

Proverbs 18:13  AMP says, "He who answers before he hears [the facts]— It is folly and shame to him." This scripture teaches that it is foolish to respond before listening carefully. If you are quick to give your opinion without fully understanding a matter, it shows ignorance rather than wisdom. Listening first gives you a chance to grasp the reality of the situation and respond wisely. Being a good listener is more valuable than being a talker. A person who talks too much without listening to others lacks knowledge and makes many mistakes. The Bible says, "A fool's wrath is known at once, But a prudent man covers shame."  (Proverbs 12:16 ). When you restrain yourself from speaking hastily or reacting in anger, you demonstrate wisdom. Anger and harsh words lead to bad responses, but listening patiently helps you answer wisely. When speaking to someone who has made a mistake, harsh words do not help but instead break their spirit. The Bible says, "A soft ...

DANGERS OF ENTERING INTO AGREEMENTS WITHOUT SEEKING GOD’S GUIDANCE

Galatians 3:15 (NKJV) says, “Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: Though it is only a man’s covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it.”   This verse highlights the seriousness of covenants and agreements in our lives. Once a covenant is made, it becomes binding and cannot be easily changed. This principle applies to both God’s promises and agreements between people. Many individuals face serious challenges because they rush into agreements without seeking God’s counsel. Some of the dangers include: 1. Agreements Can Lead to Bondage One major danger of making agreements without God’s guidance is that they can result in spiritual, financial, or emotional bondage. In Joshua 9:14-15, the Israelites made a peace treaty with the Gibeonites without asking God whether it was the right decision. Later, they discovered they had been deceived, but they could not break the covenant. This teaches us that failing to seek God’s counsel can lead to bad decisions with ...

WHO HAVE YOU PLACED BEFORE YOU? WHO IS LEADING YOUR LIFE?

"I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved." (Psalm 16:8, NKJV)   These words from David reveal his firm decision to always put God before him. When he says, "I have set the Lord always before me,"  he means that God is the leader of his life at all times and in every situation. Whether in times of joy or distress, David chose never to abandon God. He further declares, "Because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved,"  meaning that God is his strength and protector, ensuring that he will not be shaken or defeated in anything he does. The question I ask you today is: Who is before you? Who have you made the leader of your life? God does not force Himself to be the leader of your life. It is your personal decision to allow Him to lead. Jesus says: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him."  (Revelation 3:20 ). This means that G...

YOUR WORDS CAN BUILD OR DESTROY YOUR LIFE

Image
"Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips." (Psalm 141:3, NKJV)   These words from David reveal an important truth about the power of your tongue. You need God's help to control the words that come out of your mouth. Every word you speak carries power—it can either build or destroy. Your words can bring success or push you backward. That’s why it’s important to ask God for wisdom so that every word you speak is beneficial, not destructive. God has placed great power in the words we speak. Your tongue is like a key to your life. When you speak with faith, you build a bright future. When you speak with fear, complaints, or negativity, you open the door to destruction. In the Scriptures, God heard the words of the Israelites when they were in the wilderness and received reports that the Promised Land was filled with strong and mighty people. Instead of trusting in God's power, they complained, saying it would have been better to die in Eg...

DISCOVER YOUR CALLING AND HOW TO SERVE GOD

"Let each one remain in the same calling in which he was called." — 1 Corinthians 7:20 (NKJV) This verse teaches you one crucial thing—you can serve God right where you are. When Paul says to "remain in the same calling,"  he means that you should continue in your profession, as long as it is honorable and brings glory to God. God’s calling in your life is not limited to pulpit ministry alone; it is also connected to the skills and knowledge He has given you. You were created with a unique purpose, and whatever you do diligently and effectively is a sign of your calling. One of the biggest challenges for many Christians today is not knowing their calling. Some dedicate all their time to church activities, forgetting that their daily work is also a way to serve God. Others abandon their professions, thinking that the only way to serve God is through preaching or spending all their time in prayer. But that is not true. God has indeed called some people to be pastors...
