GRACE TO DEAL WITH LIFE CRISIS – BETRAYAL AND BROKEN TRUST

Matthew 10:21  (NIV) says: “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death.”   Betrayal is not something new, it has existed even within the closest human relationships like family. Betrayal is one of life’s deepest wounds because it comes from those we trust the most. When someone you love and rely upon breaks that trust, the pain is hard to explain. Today we are starting a series on how to deal with different crises in life. The first crisis that God placed in my heart is betrayal and broken promises. Betrayal is a psychosocial crisis because it disrupts both social relationships and psychological well being. It attacks our emotions and destroys our ability to relate with others freely. Without the help of God, it is very hard for a normal human being to handle this kind of crisis. Jesus said in Matthew 10:16  (NIV): “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as s...

Sunday 28th October 2025

“The trouble that wicked people are afraid of will certainly happen to them. But righteous people will receive the things that they want.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭10‬:‭24‬ ‭ May God give you your heart's desires and deliver you from all evil and bad things you are afraid of, may they never happen to you or your children in Jesus' Name. I wish you a happy and blessed Sunday 🙏🙌

THERE IS NO FEAR IN LOVE

1 John 4:18 (NKJV) says: "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love." Fear and love cannot live together. Fear torments, but love brings freedom. Fear looks at punishment, but love looks at forgiveness. The perfect love of God drives away every fear that makes you feel guilty, unworthy, or condemned. Many people are filled with fear because they think the enemy has power over them. They believe God hates them because of their weakness or wrongs. This fear comes from guilt and condemnation. You may feel that you deserve punishment, so bad things will happen to you. Sometimes you even think God enjoys seeing you suffer for your mistakes. Maybe you feel like you are in enmity with God, like you are nobody before Him. You think you don’t deserve His protection and help. You feel like an outcast. You fear the devil has rights over you because of your sins, curses, and imperfe...

DO NOT BE AFRAID GOD IS WITH YOU

Joshua 1:9 (NKJV): “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” This verse is a direct command from God. It was given to Joshua at a time when he was stepping into one of the greatest assignments of his life—leading the children of Israel into the Promised Land. Moses had died, and the responsibility of guiding an entire nation into their inheritance was now on Joshua’s shoulders. God is not giving you suggestions, he is commanding you not to fear so that he can be with you. I have already taught you that many people fear because they don’t know the power of God. Others fear because they don’t know the will of God. They are not sure if God is with them in what they do, they are living in doubt, they are doing things in doubt. Your weakness and personal mistakes can make you feel God is not with you in what you do thats why you are afraid. But today, we learn from this verse that Go...

MISPLACED FEAR

Image
Matthew 10:28  (NKJV) says: “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”   This is a direct call from Jesus to correct our fears. Many people fear human threats, sickness, poverty, storms, or death. Yet Jesus reminds us that these things can only touch the body. The true danger is sin, because it separates us from God and leads to eternal destruction. The only fear that matters is the fear of God, for He alone holds the destiny of both the body and soul. One day I was in a garage fixing my car. It was an open space and suddenly it began raining heavily. All the mechanics rushed to take shelter inside. As we stood, they began sharing jokes, laughing about drinking and the women they slept with. I always preach to them, telling them to repent and receive Jesus. But they laughed it off. As we were standing there inside, suddenly the storm grew stronger, with thunder and lightning flashin...

THE KNOWLEDGE THAT CASTS OUT FEAR

Hosea 4:6 (NKJV) says: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” This verse teaches us that ignorance opens the door to destruction. When we don’t know God’s truth, we fall into traps of fear, weakness, and defeat. Knowledge of God is the key to freedom, boldness, and victory. The knowledge of God’s power sets you free from fear. Many people fear because they don’t know how mighty God is. And because they don’t know Him, they do not turn to Him when problems come. But when you know God, His greatness, and His promises, fear cannot control you. Fear grows and flourishes in ignorance. The devil takes advantage of what you don’t know to torture you. That’s why he fills the world with negative information, through social media, television, and daily news. Notice how bad news gets more attention than good news. During the COVID-19 season, fear killed more people than the virus itself. People panicked, worried, and gave up because they did not know the power of God to protect t...

DON’T FOCUS ON YOUR PROBLEM, FOCUS ON GOD'S POWER

Psalms 56:3 (NKJV) says: “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.”   The secret to overcoming fear is placing our trust in God. Fear is natural when challenges rise, but the key is where you direct your focus. If you look at your problem, fear grows stronger. If you look at God, faith rises, peace enters, and miracles happen. Trust is the bridge that moves us from worry to victory. One gospel minister shared a powerful testimony. He faced a serious health challenge. When he went to the hospital, the doctor gave him a terrible report. His heart sank, and fear gripped him deeply. When he got home, he did not even know how to pray. In his confusion, he asked the Holy Spirit to guide him. The Holy Spirit whispered to him: “Do not pray. Meditate on the miracles God did in the Bible.” So he opened his Bible and began to read about God’s mighty acts, the Red Sea parting, the blind receiving sight, the dead being raised, and the sick being healed. As he meditated on God’s power, the fea...

FEAR IS THE ENEMY

II Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) says: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”   Fear is not part of God’s gift to us. Instead, He has given us strength, love, and self-control. Fear is like a chain that keeps us from walking in victory. It blinds us from seeing who we are in Christ and stops us from living the life God designed for us. God created you to be strong. You are made in His image, and His Spirit gives you boldness. Fear does not come from Him. When fear controls your life, you cannot win spiritual battles, and you cannot stand strong in the face of life’s challenges. That is why this week we will learn how to overcome fear. But first, you must see fear as your enemy because it is not from God. Some people even joke and feel proud of their fears, thinking that being afraid is normal or good. But fear is not something to celebrate. It steals your peace and kills your progress. Some are afraid of small things like cockroaches ...

OBEY GOD NOT MEN

Acts 5:29  NKJV Says; "But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: ‘We ought to obey God rather than men.’" When the apostles were ordered by the Jewish leaders to stop preaching in the name of Jesus, Peter boldly declared that God’s command was greater than human authority. This shows us a principle: human orders can never override divine instructions. Obedience to God comes before obedience to men. God is the ultimate authority, and when man’s command contradicts God’s will, the believer must choose God without fear. Yesterday we learned about not living to please men, and today the Holy Spirit is teaching us about obedience. Pleasing and obedience may look alike but they are different. Pleasing is when you do something for people to applaud or appreciate you. Obedience is when you submit to their command. So, Acts 5:29  can also be read as: “You must submit yourself under God’s command rather than men’s.” Now ask yourself: who is telling you what to do in you...

DO NOT LIVE TO PLEASE PEOPLE

Galatians 1:10  NKJV "For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ." Apostle Paul draws a clear line between pleasing men and serving Christ. He knew that the Gospel message often offended people, but his loyalty was to God. To be a true servant of Christ, one must stop living for people’s approval and live only for God’s approval. Pleasing people and pleasing God are two different paths. When you try to live for people’s praise, you lose focus on God. But when you live for God, you gain eternal purpose and true freedom. If you want to live for God, do not live to please men. Living to impress people will keep you from following Christ. The path of Jesus is different from the path of man. You cannot serve two masters; you must choose one. Your life belongs to God, not to people’s opinions. Whether others like your choices or not should not move you, as long as you are obeying God. Remember ...

SHINE YOUR LIGHT

Matthew 5:16  NKJV Says; “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Jesus spoke these words in the Sermon on the Mount, teaching His disciples about living in a way that reflects God’s nature. It is showing us that the life of a believer is not meant to be hidden. Just as light removes darkness and makes things clear, a Christian must live openly and differently so that people may see their good works. These works are not for personal praise, but for the glory of God. When others see your kindness, forgiveness, patience, and love, they are pointed to God as the source. Light in this context is not just words, but actions backed by faith. To shine your light is to live a Christ-centered life that testifies to the reality of God. The world is full of darkness, sin, hatred, lies, and confusion. The Bible says, “The whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one”  (1 John 5:19 ). But the Bible Says; “God is ...
